Our Motivation
"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." (Ephesians 4:1-6, New International Version, ©2011)
1. We run to the calling we have recieved.
To us that means using our skills and knowledge to serve those in need of healing, both physically and spiritually. How? Through clinics and education. The needs are so great in countries of poverty, and we could spend a lifetime sending medical teams to heal. But a greater need is educating those who live 24/7 in the conditions of poverty. We have resources but they have manpower and desire to help themselves.
2. We are to be humble and gentle.
We don't have all of the answers and our way is not usually the best way in other countries. We humbly serve where we can and encourage those in need to help themselves.
3. We are to be of One spirit, one body.
That means connecting with those in our communities who have a calling to serve and don't know where or how. We connect churches and individuals who are interested in medical outreach to third world countries.
